MMK Cuts Down on Energy Spending

Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK) completed its energy-saving projects in MMK Group’s departments and companies for the first half of 2012. Every year, MMK implements a number of programs aimed at reducing the amount of energy resources spent: electric power, fuel, fire-fighting/drinking and manufacturing water, heating energy, and air products. In the first half of the year, all the programs were fulfilled by 100% and in accordance with the schedules, MMK reports. The energy-saving measures will result in over 4.5m kilowatt-hours or 14.5m RUR worth of savings by the end of the year.

Yekaterinburg Central Stadium Might Host Youth League Matches

Yekaterinburg Central Stadium will be considered by the Russian Football Union as a possible venue for coordinating the Russian national youth team, Sinara Group’s PR Center reports. Ural Airlines Launches Evening Flights to Moscow

Ural Airlines is introducing a new flight in the Chelyabinsk-Moscow direction. The air carrier’s customers can now fly to the capital not only in the morning but also in the evening. Flight U6-607 Chelyabinsk-Moscow will be operated every day starting from October 28. Departure time is 6:00 PM, arrival time is 6:25 PM. The return flight departs from Moscow at 9:55 AM and arrives in Chelyabinsk at 2:35 PM (local time), the airline’s press service reports. Koltsovo Filling Station to Raise Jet Fuel Prices on September 12

Koltsovo Filling Station (a member of TNK-BP) is planning to increase its jet fuel prices from 30,520 RUR to 31,820 RUR per ton on September 12, Kommersant reports. The newspaper’s sources report that ‘prices are primarily growing at the filling stations that belong to the oil companies (and these are the players that set the current market trends).
