Ore Mining and Processing Enterprise of Kachkanar JSC (part of Evraz Group) started assembling a new separator with high magnetic-field strength at its dry magnetic separation department. The equipment of this kind has never been used by the company before. The strength of this new facility is almost twice as big as that of the currently used ones. $5bn invested in Sverdlovsk Region economy within first half of 2006

‘The region has enjoyed stable socio-economic conditions and a 5% production growth (compared to a year earlier) throughout January to June 2006. The amount of investments has also increased by 1.5 times and came to $5bn,’ Governor Eduard Rossel announced at the press conference. ‘The agricultural produce turnover went up by 15%, which was largely due to regular subsidies; the branch has received 200 combines whose capacity is six times greater than that of the old ones. This allowed the farmers to harvest nearly 2,000 tons of feeding stuffs within 12 hours,’ Mr Rossel said.

Tashtagolskiy subsidiary of Russian ore maker test magnetic separation systems

Tashtagolskiy subsidiary of Evrazruda JSC (ore maker and part of Evraz Group) has been testing its new magnetic separation systems. The experts from the company’s Central Technological Laboratory and the subsidiary itself are selecting samples of original ore, ore concentrate and final tailings that are then tested and thus make it possible to decide on the best way of ore processing. Board of Directors of RAO UES of Russia approves of additional share issue of TGK-9

Following the decision of Board of Directors of RAO UES of Russia made on June 23, 2006, the company’s executives compiled the list of additional share issue projects targeted at attracting more money into heat generation development.
