ChTPZ Group delivers 566,100 tons of tubes and pipes in January-April 2008

Chelyabinsk Tube Rolling Plant (RTS: CHEP) and Pervouralsk New Pipe Plant (RTS: PNTZ) (ChTPZ Group’s largest tube and pipe manufacturers) supplied their consumers with 566,100 tons of tubular goods in the first four months of 2008, which falls short of the figures for a year earlier (that is, 633,400 tons) by 11%.


ChTPZ Group sold 301,800 tons of tubes and pipes in the four months of the year, which falls short of the figures for a year earlier (that is, 352,700 tons) by 14%. These figures include a 24% drop in the amount of large-diameter pipes: this came to 153,100 tons compared with 201,200 tons of LDPs in January-April 2007.


Chelyabinsk Tube Rolling Plant delivered 82,600 tons of tubular goods to consumers in April 2008 (which falls short of last year’s figures (97,400 tons) by 15%), including 44,500 tons of LDPs, which falls short of figures for April 2007 (56,100 tons) by 21%.


Pervouralsk New Pipe Plant delivered 67,700 tons of tubular goods to consumers in April 2008 (which is 2% less than the 68,800 tons delivered a year earlier) and 264,300 tons since the beginning of the year, which is 6% less than the 280,800 tons delivered in January-April 2007, the spokesperson for ChTPZ Group reports.
