Stanislav Tkhai to become Korea’s honorary consul in Yekaterinburg

Head of Ural Electronic Plant Ltd Stanislav Tkhai is going to become Korea’s honorary consul in Yekaterinburg. The consul of the Republic of Korea in Russia, who arrived in Yekaterinburg on business, all the procedures have been finalized, so the only thing needed for Mr. Tkhai’s appointment now is the permission of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The honorary consulate is expected to start operating in Yekaterinburg at the beginning of 2008.
In the meantime, the premises of Ural Electronic Plant were searched in December 2007. 'We had to search the premises of Ural Electronic Plant because of a suit that was filed by the local customs in regard to customs duty evasion,’ reported Valeriy Gorelikh, the press officer of Sverdlovsk Region Department of Internal Affairs.
The honorary consulate is expected to start operating in Yekaterinburg at the beginning of 2008.
