Pirated Puma and Adidas sportswear confiscated in Verkhnyaya Salda
8 October 2007 (09:12)
Officers of Nizhniy Tagil Customs and the law-enforcement agencies of Verkhnyaya Salda found a large assortment of pirated Puma and Adidas sportswear in one of Verkhnyaya Salda’s shops. The spokesperson for Ural Customs Administration reports the goods had no accompanying documents that could prove the authenticity of the trademarks used, which means the trademark owners’ rights were being abused through illegal sales. 39 items of clothing worth some 35,000 RUR altogether were confiscated; the case is subject to further investigation.
