UC RUSAL’s 8,000,000th ton of aluminum produced at Bogoslovskiy Aluminum Plant

United Company RUSAL’s 8,000,000th ton of aluminum was produced at Bogoslovskiy Aluminum Plant, UC RUSAL’s local press officer Roman Lukichev said to UrBC.

This remarkable achievement resulted from the plant’s electrolysis shop reaching all of its target figures this September; their raw aluminum production figures came to 100.1% of the planned amount in the eight months of 2007.

The increase in the company’s production output stems from the use of improved electrolysis technologies, greater reliance on IT and installation of new equipment, enhancing the workers’ technical awareness and discipline, and more effective training of managers, engineers, and wageworkers.

Says Director of Bogoslovskiy Aluminum Plant Sibagatulla Aminov: ‘Eight million tons of metal is more than just a number; it is, in fact, a sign of a breakthrough we were able to make on the threshold of our plant’s 65th anniversary (the event we will be celebrating next year).’
