Uralvagonzavod closed down
30 August 2007 (14:52)
‘Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree that transformed Uralvagonzavod Production Association into Uralvagonzavod Research and Production Corporation,’ Uralvagonzavod’s Information Management Director Boris Mineev said to UrBC.
‘The President must have thought this was the only way to cut back on tank-building and armor production in Russia. Uralvagonzavod will now lead nine enterprises, seven research institutes, and four engineering departments under a single brand known as Uralvagonzavod Research and Production Corporation,’ Mr. Mineev noted.
