MegaFon Ural makes international roaming cheaper this summer
3 May 2007 (13:16)
MegaFon Ural, the mobile operator, decided to make international roaming cheaper for the summer period. All of the company’s subscribers will have every other minute of in-coming calls free as long as they are in the Holiday zone. What is more, an out-going text message will also be 20% less expensive and will only come to 12 RUR (VAT included). The offer is valid from May 1, 2007 to September 30, 2007. The Holiday zone comprises countries that are classed as Europe, America, and Other Countries in terms of their tariff zones.
‘People often have to limit themselves to shorter conversations when using roaming services, which is not fair since they really feel like sharing their feelings and impressions with relatives and friends here and now. Our offer makes it possible for all travelers to enjoy their communication in all the popular exotic and European resorts at half price,’ says MegaFon Ural’s Commercial Director Alexander Kazantsev.
When abroad, one’s phone number remains the same and one only needs to have at least 300 RUR on one’s account to be able to use the roaming services. It is advisable to have a little extra money as sums are withdrawn as soon as the hosting operator informs MegaFon about the amount used up.
