Ural Airlines experts will give lectures on affordability and reliability of air travel to would-be travel agents for the second time this year, reports the company’s press officer. The lectures are provided for the third and fourth year students of Ural State University’s Department of History who specialize in service and tourism. The 30-hour course covers interaction with Russian and foreign carriers, rules of passenger transfer, modern booking and selling systems, customer loyalty schemes and much else besides. Students are expected to do a test at the end.

The company’s Deputy Commercial Director Dmitriy Lvov says students are mainly interested in practically applicable knowledge and often ask questions about peculiarities of Sirena2000 and Amadeus (the international booking systems) or the new offers and sales, student discounts, and online booking.

In addition, USU students are given a chance to undergo summer internship in different departments of Ural Airlines. According to Commercial Director Kirill Skuratov, this mutually beneficial cooperation allows trainees to build up their practical skills and makes the carrier more transparent and attractive for potential employees.
