Uralmashzavod has been cooperating with some other Russian companies for quite a while now. The plant, for example, finished assembling a crane for SeverStal in September 2006. The crane was launched in February 2007 after a series of tests conducted in mid-January, reports the spokesperson for Uralmashzavod.

SeverStal has recently announced a tender for the delivery of two 500-ton cranes; OMZ-Crane and Uralmashzavod will have to compete with SibTyazhMash, and the decision is to be made at the end of January or beginning of February 2007.

The caster crane was supplied to SeverStal at the end of 2005. The project was designed by OMZ-Crane, the crane was made by Uralmashzavod. The $2.5 million contract was signed in May 2004. The crane is meant for working in high dustiness, high temperature, and under hardest working conditions.
