Ural Airlines perform maiden daily Chelyabinsk-Moscow flight
25 January 2007 (12:14)
Ural Airlines performed their maiden regular daily Chelyabinsk-Moscow flight on January 23, 2007. Everything was done according to the schedule: the plane left Balandino airport of Chelyabinsk at 8.40 AM and arrived at Domodedovo airport of Moscow at 8.55 AM (local time). The flight took two hours and fifteen minutes. There were approximately eighty people on board, even though the usual number of passengers on a maiden flight only comes to twenty to thirty people. In Moscow, the carrier offered its passengers a free transfer to Paveletskaya underground station on a comfortable express train.
According to Galina V. Veisser, the Commercial Director of Balandino airport, their business has been going in the right direction. The airport has big plans for this year, largely connected with attracting more carriers and increasing the number of passengers they service, including the business class clients. They are already cooperating with five airlines now performing flights from Chelyabinsk to Moscow. Ural Airlines, however, is the only carrier that offers tickets without the fuel fee, so the cheapest single ones are available at 2,499 RUR, says the carrier’s press officer.
