Prosecution bodies of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Region insist on reconsidering case of Ilya Gaffner

The public prosecution authorities of Knanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Region placed a petition with the regional court asking to reconsider the case of Ilya Gaffner, head of SevTyumenTransPut, involving arrears of wages, reported the Public Prosecutor of the region Nikolai Vetyugov.
The document states the need for nullifying the original sentence (the court found Mr Gaffner not guilty) and for placing this criminal suit with the Court of Appeal.
The initial hearing was completed on September 20. 2006. Mr Gaffner was charged with failing to pay the wages to his employees of SevTyumenTransPut and sentenced to three years of suspended sentence with a 12-month probation period. However, the sentence was declared invalid by the appeals authority.
