ChelyabEnergo completes recovery work after fire at substation belonging to Katav-Ivanovskiy Foundry
27 November 2006 (11:52)
Due to the efforts of ChelyabEnergo experts, the electricity began to be transmitted onto the substation belonging to Katav-Ivanovskiy Foundry last night. Prior to this, the company’s workers assembled the power center and two transmission facilities from the substation to the switching device located in Katav-Ivanovsk. Thus, most of the residents of the town were able to use electricity again since midnight. Today, the municipal enterprise of Katav-Ivanovsk will provide electricity supply to two transformer substations and to the villages of Bedyarysh, Lemeza, and Verknyaya Katavka that still don’t have it.
Six rescue teams (over 50 people altogether) from ChelyabEnergo are assisting recovery work at the substation around the clock, reports the company’s spokesperson.
