Hungarian officials visit Sverdlovsk Region

Governor of Sverdlovsk Region Eduard Rossel hosted the group of Hungarian officials headed by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Hungary to Russia Sekei Arpad on November 15, 2006.
In the course of the meeting the Governor emphasized the fact that Sverdlovsk Region was interested in setting up a Hungarian trade house and a consulate in the mid-Urals. The two parties’ cooperation in the field of energy-saving technologies, construction, production of medicines and medical equipment and tourism would be very fruitful. The plant of Uraltransmash has everything needed to set up a joint venture dealing in modern bus production.
Sekei Arpad said that Hungary was intent on setting up an honorary consulate in Yekaterinburg in the nearest future. This is the first stage in the process of establishing official diplomatic relations between the country and Sverdlovsk Region.
