Maintenance Director of Ural and Volga Interregional Network Company Eduard Shapochkin awarded ChelyabEnergo, the local heat and electricity provider, with certificate of preparedness for fall and winter today. This is an official proof of the fact that the company is ready for winter.
Getting the certificate is seen as a kind of an annual exam aimed at estimating the quality of repair campaign. This year, it was preceded by a lot of serious work that was divided into two stages. First, committees made up of experts from Ural and Volga Interregional Network Company, local experts, and representatives of RosTechNadzor, the technological safety monitoring agency, examined the company’s subsidiaries and signed the reports about them being fully prepared for the high workload winter period. This covered Central, Chelyabinsk, Zlatoustovskiye, Magnitogorskiye, and Troitskiye electrical networks.
The examinations were mainly targeted at seeing how well the companies coped with the repair deadlines, equipment maintenance, and reliability of supplying schemes.
Since the beginning of the year, ChelyabEnergo and its contractors gave overhaul to 288 6-10/.4 kilowatt substations, 364 kilometers of .4-10 kilowatt power lines, 463 6-110 kilowatt switches, repaired 94 power transformers, and cleaned up 162 hectares of 35-110 kilowatt runs.
Besides, a lot of attention was paid to the general management of the company’s performance, in particular, to the special training of personnel, organization of workplaces and to the readiness of teams to work around the clock.
The second stage involved the experts from Ural and Volga Interregional Network Company examining all of the company’s subsidiaries; they found no faults with their performance and reported that it was definitely ready for the coming winter, the company’s spokesperson said to UrBC representative.
