BN-600 power unit put into operation at Beloyarsky nuclear power plant

BN-600 power unit was put into operation at Beloyarsky nuclear power plant. (BN-600 was shut down for refueling and scheduled equipment inspection on September 19.) The first out of three turbo generators was launched on October 5, 2006. At 8 PM on October 7, it was brought to function in the rated power mode of 600 megawatt, reports the spokesperson for the plant.
