A new working cabin has recently been furbished for hoistwomen at Main Groove of Abakanskiy subsidiary of Evrazruda (ore maker and part of Evraz Group). It is completely soundproof and is equipped with the control board and overview windows; the cabin also keeps the workers warm and makes sure nothing and no one distracts the hoist person from performing their duties. The hoisting unit transfers the miners, equipment, and tuffs into and out of the mine.
The control board was previously installed in a large, noisy, and crowded engine room with a lot of bulky electric appliances and draughts. Now that the working conditions of hoistwomen have been improved, the whole hoisting process has become quite safe. The subsidiary has five hoisting units altogether, and all of them have already been equipped with the comfortable cabins, reports the spokesperson for Evrazruda.
