Metallurgical Industrial Complex of Nizhniy Tagil trains alternative manager candidates

Over 1,600 young employees of Metallurgical Industrial Complex of Nizhniy Tagil (part of Evraz Group) have been put on the corporate alternative manager candidate list. The project, known as Career, has been around for over two years now and provides for individual training of each employee who displays potential in order to prepare the company’s future managers of all levels, from directors of the company’s workshops to top managers.
To be eligible for the project, one has to be under forty and have the education needed for the would-be job. The Complex offers a range of professional development seminars aimed at providing the trainees with information, skills and techniques essential to both professional and managerial career growth. Particular seminars dwell specifically on conflict management, personnel administration, and the art of self-presentation. Among the methods used are various techniques aimed at identifying one’s personal characteristics, multiple choice questions, business simulations, and modules, all designed by the company’s personnel department.
After they undergo training and complex assessment of their potential, most of the trainees get promoted and greatly contribute to the corporate development. Thus the company’s personnel training program makes it possible for every employee to reveal their potential, move up the corporate ladder and turn into a first-class professional.
