The new terminal is to be introduced in Koltsovo airport, Yekaterinburg, on August 14, 2006. The opening ceremony will be attended by the Governor of Sverdlovsk Region Eduard Rossel, General Director of Koltsovo Airport JSC Mikhail Maximov, and representatives of public authorities and large regional enterprises.
‘The capacity of the new terminal is estimated at sixty passengers per hour; it is meant for both business and economy class passengers using domestic and international flights. The terminal is located in the old Soviet neoclassical building with pillars and a broach, which cost 100 million RUR to renovate. All the engineering services had to be replaced, the foundation and the walls were fortified, and the interior of the building was altered completely,’ said General Director Mikhail Maximov.
