21 July 2006 (12:50)

Magnesite Industrial Complex JSC (part of Magnesite Group) produced 5% more of refractory goods (191,300 tons) and 13.6% more commercial powders (390,200 tons) throughout January to June 2006 than a year earlier.

‘This year, the Complex has constantly been exceeding the monthly plan for shipments of goods and powders; We’ve already shipped 13.7% more consumer goods than in January to June 2005; the extraction of raw magnesite went up by 5,1% (up to 1.5 million tons), the amount of overburden by 9.5% (up to 4.3 million cubic meters),’ reported the Production Director Yuri Kochergin.

‘The increase in the output of commercial powders has to do with the growing demand for coarse size powders. We have also attracted new buyers from the Ukrainian manufacturers and entrepreneurs from the other newly independent states. We started shipping more periclase powders to Europe as well,’ Mr Kochergin said.
