Director of German Weinig Gruppe Alois Eismannberger visited the annual Weinig NIS representatives meeting in Yekaterinburg, Sverdlovsk Region. It’s the first time this meeting takes place in the Ural capital.

‘Deputy Head of Sverdlovsk Region Government and Minister for Industry, Power Engineering and Science Vladimir Molchanov met Mr Eismannberger on March 9, 2006 to discuss the prospects of introducing high-level timber processing technologies in the Ural works,’ reports the spokesperson for the Ministry.

‘Weinig Gruppe set up its Sverdlovsk Region subsidiary in 1995, and Weinig Ural Technological Center has been operating in Yekaterinburg since 1998. Since then, the company has performed 1.5 million euro worth of projects,’ the spokesperson says.

‘The company cooperates with regional timber industry enterprises such as Kourovskiy Forestry, First Timber Industry Company of Alapaevsk, Holding Universal of Tavda, and FunCom of Verkhnyaya Sinyachikha.
