Natural gas supplier of Chelyabinsk cuts down on supplies for metallurgical works by 25%

30 January 2006 (12:30)

Chelyabinskregiongas Ltd., natural gas supplier, cut back on supplies for the boiler houses located in CHMK JSC, metallurgical industrial complex of Chelyabinsk, Sverdlovsk Region, the spokesperson for the town council reports.

The temperature of the heat carriers in the area now comes to 105 degrees centigrade as opposed to the norm of 120 degrees. The complex is trying to use other kinds of fuel but it is apparently not enough to keep the temperature of the heat supply system the same as the temperature of the air. This could lead to a 5- to 7-degree decrease of temperature in the flats of people residing in the area.

The town council is planning to ask the suppliers once again to resume the supplies in the needed quantities.
