‘The sugar prices have been going up since the end of December 2005 and come to 19 RUR per kilogram at the moment. Yet the figure for the beginning of December 2005 was only 15 RUR per kilo. This price rocketing is caused by the increase in raw prices currently experienced at the New York Exchange, and it is only in two to three weeks’ time that we are going to find out when the going up of prices actually stops,’ explains Sugar Ural Ltd. Sales Manager Alexander Shevshchenko.
