It has been decided by the Board of Directors of Uralmashzavod (part of Uralmash Industrial Services division of OMZ) to appoint Boris Vassilyev General Director of Uralmashzavod. Mr. Vassilyev had up to that moment been employed in the capacity of GD by Konstar Turbine Works of Krivorozhye. This company’s speciality is production and maintenance of gas-turbine engines, turbine expanders, steam turbines and other types of power equipment.

Mikhail Matvienko, former GD, has been appointed Chair of the Board of Uralmashzavod. His new post is to do with the supervision of issues related to the company’s strategic development and logistics of serial atomic machinery production projects as well as of a number of other key schemes aimed at by the enterprise.

‘Shifts within the top-managerial layer of the company are part of the strategy targeted at the further development of our production activity and merchandising; such shifts can also be classed as a generally accepted personnel rotation policy performed in order to make Uralmashzavod more competitive,’Sergei Lipskiy, General Director of United Mechanical Works, says.
