UrBC, Magnitogorsk, April 3, 2020. MMK Group’s largest member enterprise Mekhanoremontny Kompleks LLC adopted a set of measures to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus, MMK’s Information & PR Department reports.

The steps include informing the company employees about ways to prevent COVID-19, quarantine measures, and disinfecting efforts. Special efforts are made to reduce the number of people per room. According to Director at Mekhanoremontny Kompleks Oleg Shiryayev, the company sent as many of its workers on days off as possible during the non-work week: over a thousand out of the company’s 4,150 employees are getting their days off until the end of the week.

‘We now have 773 people working per day shift on average. Starting next week (April 6-30), more than 250 people will be working from home; the list of these workers is ready by now,’ Shiryayev said.

Mekhanoremontny Kompleks also set up a command unit, chaired by the company director, to coordinate the COVID-19 prevention steps. All of the parent company’s decisions also get introduced at Mekhanoremontny Kompleks online.
