Following the public hearings on the general construction plan, the authorities decided to shift the strategic planning timeframe from 2035 to 2041 and to keep working on a revised version of the plan. City planners, architects, investors, and members of the general public will all contribute to the discussion on the project, which is meant to be a product of social consensus and to account for the locals’ needs and interests.

‘The town council and our General Construction Plan Workshop Municipal Budgetary Institution will present Yekaterinburg’s general construction plan for 2021-2041 to the professional community. For one, the local roads are known to be overloaded, so one of the aspects of the plan is to focus on public transport growth. Urban transit, social welfare facilities, parks and trees - the plan will cover all of this,’ says Vice Mayor of Yekaterinburg for Capital Construction & Land Use Alexei Biryulin.
