UrBC, Yekaterinburg, March 19, 2020. ChelPipe Group’s Pervouralsk New Pipe Plant (PNTZ) completed its project on upgrading the OCTG facility so as to increase product output and improve quality control of this high-margin product type.

According to ChelPipe Group’s press service, as a result of the upgrades, the company’s Finishing Center will be able to make 50% more pumping and compression pipes of the upset variety and 30% more casing pipes. The project required RUB 50 million in investments.

‘ChelPipe Group sees the development of promising product segments and making more niche, high value-added items so as to meet our customers’ growing demands as one of its top priorities. Production optimization projects help achieve these goals through workload redistribution and through re-setting the facilities to make more sophisticated pipe varieties, including the ones with ChelPipe Prime premium threaded joints,’ says Operational Director at the Group’s pipe-manufacturing division Alexei Dronov.
