UrBC, Yekaterinburg, March 16, 2020. RosSet’s Federal Grid Company Untied Energy Systems (FGC UES) added 38 new special-purpose vehicles to its fleet of vehicles used in the company’s Western Siberia division.
According to the company’s press service, these are car lifts, cross-country vehicles, multiple-passenger high-mobility vehicles, and snow and swamp-going vehicle. The vehicles are meant to make sure the staff can stay mobile regardless of the season and to ensure a more reliable power supply to end users as well as better access to the company’s energy facilities even in Western Siberia’s harsh climate.
‘Both wheel- and track-mounted snow and swamp-going vehicles have been purchased to service the high-voltage electric mains in Tyumen Region, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District - Yugra, and Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District. These machines are best suited for extremely low temperatures and hard-to-pass swampy terrains. We also bought a number of special-purpose vehicles for doing various jobs at our substation facilities. Additionally, a mobile electrotechnical laboratory arrived at the station in Tyumen Region. The lab will be used for testing and diagnostics of transformer units and power substation appliances,’ RosSet’s FGC UES representatives say.
The company’s West-Siberian branch currently operates 376 vehicles; another 65 automobiles will get purchased by the end of 2020.
