UrBC, Magnitogorsk, February 28, 2020. Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK) is taking part in the 11th International Metal & Steel 2020 Exhibition, the company’s Information & PR Department reports.
‘The exhibition is held on February 27-29. Egypt is one of the key countries in the Middle East and a priority export market for MMK. In 2019, the plant supplied over 100,000,000 kg of metal goods to he Arab Republic of Egypt, meaning it was our third largest market abroad. MMK supplied 765,000,000 kg of metal produce to customers in the Middle East last year all in all, which accounted for more than 60% of the company’s export sales. Visitors to MMK’s exhibition stand will be able to get acquainted with the tech potential and the product parameters of one of Russia’s largest metallurgical enterprises. The stand features MMK’s hot- and cold-rolled coil stock, rolled section steel, and rolled metal goods with polymeric coatings,’ the company says.
There will be a special focus on the highly durable, wear-resistant MAGSTRONG steels. These steels’ mechanical properties make them particularly resistant to abrasive damage, ensure great impact strength, weldability, and workability, and provide a longer lifespan for the goods these steels are used in (compared with the goods made of more conventional materials).
