UrBC, Yekaterinburg, February 18, 2020. Alexei Zaitsev, who works as a screener at OOO FORES’s Kamensk-Uralsky branch, won the third prize for the year 2019 at the amateur running club Ural 100, the company’s press service reports.

‘Alexei Zaitsev took part in 53 races (total distance: 1,268 km). The gold winner took part in 83 races (total distance: close to 2,020 km); the silver winner took part in 72 races (total distance: 1,490 km),’ the company says.

‘I decided to say yes to the adventure of Ural 100 Cup last year; the plan was to compete with the well-known runners Alexei Kurochkin, Andrei Kazantsev, Ivan Adamenko, and Ural 100 President Evgeny Borodulin. I ended up outstripping all of these club members!’ Alexei Zaitsev says.

Ural 100 Club has been around for fifty years; the organization currently unites around a hundred amateur runners based in the Urals.

‘Alexei Zaitsev has been with FORES for over five years now. With the company’s support, he trains and competes in large-scale sports events in his free time. Zaitsev first started taking part in races when he was seventeen. We reported earlier that the athlete writes a special poem to describe every race. Zaitsev also surprised everyone on New Year’s Eve, when he went to compete in a 24-hour marathon and became a champion in his age category,’ FORES’s press service says.
