UrBC, Yekaterinburg, January 27, 2020. EVRAZ Holding’s Raspadskaya Coal Company’s Raspadskaya Processing Plant processed 12,000,000,000 kg of rough coal, thus setting the national record for the year 2019.
‘This is the first time in the enterprise’s entire history these output figures have been reached. The plant got launched in 2005 and has been investing in equipment upgrades and maximum production automation in the last few years,’ the company’s press service says.
In 2019, three new pressure-tank filters got installed at the plant, which improved the quality of coal produce and reduced the coal concentrate’s humidity and ash content. The company invested around RUB 200m in the new appliances.
Raspadskaya Processing Plant processes the coking coal of all the basic varieties: Gzh, K, GZhO, OS, KS, and Zh. The end coal produce undergoes strict quality control. The company’s coal chemistry lab is fitted with up-to-date equipment necessary for doing all the required tests.
