UrBC, Yekaterinburg, January 21, 2020. Sverdlovsk Region’s first reverse engineering workshop opened at ChelPipe Group’s Training Center this month, the company’s press service reports.

The workshop meets all the WorldSkills standards and got set up within the framework of the public-private partnership involving ChelPipe Group, Sverdlovsk Region Government, and Pervouralsk Metallurgical School; the project is part of the National Education Project and the nationwide Young Professionals Project.

‘The investments into the workshop amounted to more than RUB 4m. The appliances the place is fitted with make it possible for students on the Group’s Future of White-Coated Metallurgy In-Company Training Program to develop production projects on repair and customization, to study various models, and improve their 3D scanning, computer modeling, and material analysis skills,’ the Group says.

Apart from classes for students on the Future of White-Coated Metallurgy In-Company Training Program, the workshop will also host job counseling events for Pervouralsk high-schoolers and professional development seminars for people in the pre-retirement age group. The workshop will also serve as the venue for demo exams in WorldSkills/Reverse Engineering.
