9.6m People Fly with Ural Airlines in 2019

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, January 15, 2020. 9,616,908 people flew with Ural Airlines last year, which exceeded the figures for one year previously by 7%, the air carrier’s press service reports.
4,775,688 passengers went on the airline’s domestic flights and 4,841,220 passengers flew internationally. The airline operated 63,865 flights in 2019 (up 3% on the year 2018), including 32,652 domestic flights and 31,213 international ones. The company’s passenger turnover rose by 8% and reached 23,387,609,000 passenger-kilometers.
647,251 people flew with Ural Airlines in December 2019, which was 12% more than in December 2018. 333,075 people went on the airline’s domestic flights and 314,176 passengers flew internationally. Ural Airlines operated 4,824 flights in December (up 8% on a year earlier), including 2,317 international flights and 2,507 domestic ones.
The air carrier launched new flights last year: Moscow-London, Yekaterinburg-Xian-Phuket, Zhukovsky-Budapest, Zhukovsky-Amsterdam, Yekaterinburg-Almaty, Irkutsk-Bangkok, Perm-Prague, Moscow-Blagoveshchensk, Zhukovsky-Yerevan, Moscow-Bordeaux, Moscow-Montpellier, and some others.
The airline also added four aircraft from the Airbus A320neo family (one А321neo and three А320neo units) to its fleet. The company currently operates forty-seven planes. Yet another A321neo liner will arrive in January 2020. Besides, Ural Airlines launched a new production facility with maintenance and spare parts-manufacturing departments last year.
