UrBC, Yekaterinburg, December 23, 2019. OOO FORES’s Asbest branch is reconstructing a section of the local railways, Head of Propping Agents Thermal Treatment Department at OOO FORES Vyacheslav Vorotov told Asbestovsky Rabochiy.
‘Our propping agents get sent to customers in Russia as well as in the CIS member states. At the moment, one such market is Kazakhstan, whereas in 2010 we delivered to a much wider range of countries, including, for example, Canada. As our outputs went up, changes were needed in the working hours. Head of the Railway Section used to work a five-day week, with days off. Now it’s clear that a two-shift mode is needed. The section operates 24/7 at the moment, and four teams work to service it. There are two teams working in a two-shift mode and two teams working during the day hours,’ FORES’s press service quotes Vorotov as saying.
According to Vorotov, two out of four line ends haven’t been used for quite some time and have been dismantled almost completely. The plant is working to rebuild the second railway line at the moment. The railway section only used to send away ready goods but now certain cargo arrives at the station as well: some of the production materials get forwarded to the plant by rail.
