UrBC, Yekaterinburg, December 19, 2019. A new coal concentrate dewatering unit has been launched at EVRAZ Holding’s Raspadskaya Coal Company’s Kuznetskaya Central Processing Plant, the company’s press service reports.
‘The dewatering unit helped us stabilize humidity levels of fine coal concentrate and ensure stable product quality parameters that our customers expect. Once the unit has been launched, we are no longer struggling with the lack of space for dewatering operations,’ says Director at Kuznetskaya Central Processing Plant Alexei Vinogradov.
The launch of the unit is part of the company’s investment project that also covers the installation of three up-to-date high-frequency screens and four centrifuges at the plant.
The company also reduced its concentrate dewatering costs by 15%; dewatering is the plant’s most energy-consuming tech process at the moment.
