EVRAZ Holding: 3 Coal Mines Reach This Year’s Target Output

29 November 2019 (09:06)

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, November 29, 2019. Three mines at EVRAZ Holding’s Raspadskaya Coal Company have reached their target output figures for this year ahead of schedule, the company’s PR Department reports.

‘Alardinskaya Mine and two more of Raspadskaya Coal Company’s enterprises have produced the target amount of coal for this year,’ the company says.

Alardinskaya Mine was the first one to reach the target output figures; Yerunakovskaya 8 Mine came next. Yerunakovskaya miners faced a number of geological problems at the start of the year but managed to cope with them and have produced the designated amount of coal for 2019 (more than 2,500,000,000 kg) ahead of schedule.

‘The mine faces a big challenge at the moment, as the new Coalface 48-7 needs to get launched as soon as this December. So far, the coalface has been supplied with one Glinik 1328 unit, a cutter-loader, and an overloader,’ says Yerunakovskaya 8 Mine’s Director Andrei Keller.

It is estimated that, thanks to the advanced equipment, at least 3,000,000,000 kg of valuable Zh coal will get extracted from the mine as soon as next year.

Uskovskaya Mine is Raspadskaya Coal Company’s third enterprise to have produced the designated amount of coal for 2019 (2,600,000,000 kg) from Coalface 50-20 and Coalface 50-22 ahead of schedule.
