MegaFon Sells Gadgets through AliExpress Russia

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, November 12, 2019. MegaFon now sells its products through AliExpress’s marketplace Tmall, the telecom company’s press service reports.
The online platform got launched in time for November sales supported by retailers worldwide. MegaFon intends to start with a range of Apple products.
‘MegaFon’s online shop is now available at megafon.ru.aliexpress.com. A range of Apple iPhones in different color options is on offer starting November 11. This means MegaFon is now Russia’s first authorized Apple reseller to work with Tmall. The latter will secure MegaFon’s customers a discount during the sales week: an iPhone XR 64 Gb, for example, can be had for RUB 42,490. Your purchase will be delivered through the company’s own courier service and our logistics partner MegaFon Retail. More goods will be available online in the near future,’ the press service says.
About a month after AliExpress Russia has been created, MegaFon is making its first steps in the world of social commerce. The company is happy to support AliExpress’s global initiative on the 11/11 sales and to enter Tmall with MegaFon as the country’s only official Apple reseller. MegaFon is also Russia’s first telecom carrier to come to AliExpress, says CFO MegaFon Vlad Wolfson.
‘MegaFon joining the World Shopping Day with a product as popular as an iPhone is bound to ensure peak demand during sales. In 2017 and 2018, two out of five most popular products on the 11/11 platform were Apple items,’ says Director-General at AliExpress Russia Dmitri Sergeyev.
