UrBC, Yekaterinburg, September 26, 2019. ChelPipe Group hosted an intern conference for students and alumni of National University of Science and Technology (MISiS), Ural Federal University, and South Ural Federal University this month.

According to the Group’s press service, during the conference the interns could look into the company’s production processes, meet the Group’s top managers, join a Theory of Inventive Problem Solving (TRIZ) course, and go on guided tours of White-Coated Metallurgy facilities.

‘ChelPipe Group has this Intern Program to attract the talented young people capable of making innovative tech decisions. The program is open to students and alumni of Russia’s leading colleges who undergo a highly competitive selection procedure. Over two hundred people have been on the program by now; most of them prove very successful, reveal their full potential, come to work for the company as engineers and managers, and work on the metallurgical industry’s breakthrough projects,’ says the Group’s acting HR & Organizational Development Director Alexander Luzhbin.

The Group first launched the training program for college students in 2015. At the beginning, interns on the program are presented with individual challenges based on engineering and managerial issues the Group is currently working on.

The students have three months to come up with a solution to their case and then present their proposals to the management. If the presentation proves a success, the intern is offered employment with the Group.
