UrBC, Yekaterinburg, September 24, 2019. The telecom company MegaFon and Saint Petersburg State University opened Russia’s first 5G lab together. The former invested some RUB 20m in all the tech appliances, with additional funding directed to the training process.

According to MegaFon’s press service, the lab courses dwell on digital solutions development and integration management. Software developers will be looking into the specific parameters of the fifth-generation networks and will learn how to work with current frameworks, tools, user interface, and automated quality control for software solutions. Software managers will learn how to launch hi tech products on the market and how to manage the development process.

‘Our digital lab gives students an opportunity to test the various applications of the 5G network that the current market players are perhaps not even aware of yet. The lab serves as a unique stimulating environment for the young, gifted developers, QAs, and project managers who will be able to grow professionally and work on the world of digital technologies’ further development,’ says Company Development & HR Director at MegaFon Valentina Vatrak.
