UrBC, Yekaterinburg, September 23, 2019. ChelPipe Group allocated RUB 2m to fund renovations and repairs at the Group-supported schools and kindergartens in Sverdlovsk Region and Chelyabinsk Region this year; the company employees did the renovation jobs themselves, covering twenty schools and two kindergartens altogether.

According to the Group’s press service, the renovations took place during the summer holidays; the builders’ teams (which comprised the Group’s workers as well) worked on classrooms, recreation halls, and verandas and reconstructed the hockey pitch. The doors, flooring, lighting fixtures all got replaced, railings got installed on the flights of stairs, and the school premises got renovated as well.

‘Supporting the educational establishments in the towns where the company operates is one of ChelPipe Group’s CSR priorities. We understand how crucial our support is for these schools and kindergartens: these are the places where the children of our white-coated metallurgists and possibly the Group’s future employees receive their formal training,’ says Chair of the BOD at ChelPipe Group Alexander Fedorov.

ChelPipe Group has been supporting schools and kindergartens in the area for over four decades now. The renovations take place both in time for the next school year and throughout the year as well.
