Amy Storrow Appointed New U.S. Consul General in Yekaterinburg

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, September 9, 2019. Amy Storrow was appointed the new U.S. Consul General in Yekaterinburg, the consulate announced on Twitter.

According to the consulate officials, the newly appointed U.S. Consul General Amy Storrow intends to spend the next two years building better connections between the Urals Consular District and the United States and is looking forward to getting to know the Urals and Siberia.

The new Consul General started working for the U.S. Department of State in 2004, serving in Riga in 2010-2013 and working as the Director of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) in 2015-2017.

Now the former U.S. Consul General Dr. Paul M. Carter, Jr. resigned on August 5.
