3 September 2019 (09:11)
UrBC, Yekaterinburg, September 3, 2019. The Ural Bank for Reconstruction & Development (UBRD) celebrates Knowledge Day by launching its Schoolchildren’s Card Project, with Grade 1-11 students getting the bank’s debit cards, the bank’s press service reports.
‘The children and teens can use the cards to pay for their school lunches and as their entry ID. Besides, some schools might accept these as their library cards. The debit cards will be issued and administered by the bank free of charge; they will serve as complementary cards for the schoolchildren’s parents’ accounts, which means the adults can set spending limits for their children (online or via a mobile banking app). 10% cashback options on children’s products will serve as a nice bonus for the kids’ parents as well,’ the press service says.
According to the UBRD Banking Product Sale Management Director Sergey Zinoviev, the main goal of the project is to provide the schoolchildren and their parents with a convenient, functional financial mechanism and to promote financial literacy.
