UrBC, Magnitogorsk, August 6, 2019. Deputy Head at Moscow Government’s Labor & Social Welfare Department Pavel Keller paid a visit to Magnitogorsk and visited Metallurg Charity Foundation (mainly supported and financed by Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works/MMK), MMK’s Information, PR & Advertising Department reports.

According to MMK, Pavel Keller took an interest in the foundation’s work to support the elderly. MMK’s projects aimed at seniors (involving more than 30,000 people in Magnitogorsk and nearby rural areas) have been, more than once, acknowledged by both the federal authorities and Chelyabinsk Region Government.

Keller’s two-day business trip covered visits to the urban infrastructure facilities involved in the charity project implementation; getting acquainted with the work of the healthcare/social welfare center, Veteran Assisted Living Facility, Maternity Center, the local canteen and shops, and the privately owned Social Welfare Center; and personal interaction with and collecting feedback from the people who actually use these facilities’ services.

There was also a round table discussion involving the foundation’s management; the discussion centered around the most important aspects, formats, and ways of supporting the senior citizens in the area.

‘Pavel Keller also went on a guided tour of the city (including the park next to 164 Karl Marx Ave), visited Dinopark Family Center, and paid a visit to MMK’s countryside health resorts that serve as venues for the plant’s charity programs (Abzakovo Ski Resort, Metallurg-Magnitogorsk Mountain Ski Resort, and Yubileyny Sanatorium). Senior Manager at MMK Social Program Group Fedor Nasledov told Keller about the resorts’ infrastructure and the programs available to MMK Group’s employees and retirees,’ MMK says.

Pavel Keller left highly impressed by the charity foundation’s successful implementation of big projects and by the staff’s professional qualifications.
