12 July 2019 (11:14)

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, July 12, 2019. A discussion on AI solutions for ‘smart cities’ took place within the 10th Innoprom International Industrial Exhibition’s business program in Yekaterinburg. Maxim Isayev contributed to the talks, Rusatom Infrastructure Solutions/Rusatom Smart Utilities’ press service reports.

‘321 projects have been registered with Russia’s Construction & Utilities Ministry’s Smart City National Project’s database so far. The existing variety of Smart City solutions covers different parts of urban infrastructure: energy efficiency, control over communal housing services, traffic flow management, safe and comfortable living environment, and resident communication platforms. Lean Smart City, the project Maxim Isayev presented during the discussion, makes it possible to put all these puzzle pieces together into a single urban management system,’ the press service says.

‘Urban environments are undergoing constant transformations these days, so all the urban infrastructure components need to get updated and re-customized on a regular basis in order to meet the new demands; cities also need new, technologically-oriented approaches. We’ve designed Lean Smart City, for example: a technology for ongoing improvements within a city or town, for making all the processes more efficient, for reducing losses, and for resource saving through the use of up-to-date digital data collection and analysis mechanisms. The technology relies on Rosatom’s production system - lean production philosophy and ongoing improvements,’ says Head of Smart City Design Office at Rusatom Infrastructure Solutions.
