10 July 2019 (11:34)
UrBC, Yekaterinburg, July 10, 2019. ChelPipe Group’s shareholder Andrei Komarov contributed to the plenary session on the Industry of the Future: Growth Potential in New Digital Technologies & Organizational Models at the international industrial exhibition Innoprom 2019.
According to ChelPipe Group’s press service, Russia’s Deputy Minister for Industry & Trade Oleg Bocharov chaired the session. Government officials and members of the expert and business communities, including KAMAZ Director-General Sergey Kogogin, Chair of the BOD at SOLLERS Vadim Shvetzov, Director-General at SAP CIS Andrei Filatov, Senior Vice President for Innovation at Skolkovo Foundation Kirill Kayem, and Strategy Partners Group’s President Alexander Idrisov, talked about the prospects of digitizing the Russian economy and the existing limitations and deterrents at work in the process of Russian businesses’ digital modernization.
Oleg Bocharov stated that Russian companies have learned to rely heavily on the basic and relatively simple digital technologies, but only a few have managed to go through with deep-level automation and to restructure their business processes so as to fit in with the more advanced digital technologies. Bocharov also commented on the need for getting the Russian industry digitized on several levels at once: in terms of industrial equipment, IT systems, and internal business processes.
The transformation program ChelPipe Group has been working on since last year is expected to help the company transition from a production-centered business model to a customer-oriented one. The Group believes that modern digital solutions are the tools that help you improve daily the customers’ actual experience of interacting with the company.
