Andrei Komarov Re-Elected Chair of BOD at ChelPipe

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, July 4, 2019. Andrei Komarov was re-elected Chair of the Board of Directors at Chelyabinsk Pipe Rolling Plant (ChelPipe), the company’s press service reports.

‘The decision was made during the re-elected BOD’s first meeting on July 1, 2019. The new BOD, elected by shareholders in the course of the annual general meeting, now comprises Boris Kovalenkov, Andrei Komarov, Dina Mikhryukova, Alexander Fedorov, Sergey Yankovsky, and Independent Directors Vadim Makhov and Oleg Seleznev (who was accepted as an Independent Director by the BOD’s special decision based on the Nominations & Awards Committee’s recommendation).

The composition of the BOD Audit Committee, Corporate Government Committee, Nominations & Awards Committee, and Strategic Planning Committee also got decided upon.

Andrei Komarov is ChelPipe Group’s shareholder and, together with Alexander Fedorov, he controls over 80% of the Group’s stock; he is the Co-Chair of the Pipe Industry Development Foundation and the Honored Metallurgist of the Russian Federation. Komarov is the primary visionary for ChelPipe Group’s company philosophy, known as the White-Coated Metallurgy, and the driving force behind the creation of the Future of White-Coated Metallurgy Corporate Training Program (Best Cadre Training Practice according to Russia’s Education Ministry, the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, and the National Qualification Improvement Agency). Komarov also contributes greatly to social work and charity projects in the territories where the Group runs its member enterprises.
