UrBC, Magnitogorsk, June 28, 2019. MMK Group’s partner Metallurg Charity Foundation took part in the 3d Regions’ Social Innovations Forum in Moscow; the event got coordinated by Russia’s Federation Council’s Federal Assembly and Moscow Government. The role national projects play in the social sector’s innovative development was the key topic on the event’s agenda.
The forum gathered together three hundred delegates from eighty-five Russian federal constituencies: government officials, members of socially oriented non-profit organizations, business community representatives, researchers, development institute staff, members of the expert community, and volunteer movement activists.
‘The representatives of Metallurg Charity Foundation and the Social Welfare Foundation made part of Chelyabinsk Region’s delegation. They presented their booklets on socially important projects and charity programs for children, seniors, and other vulnerable groups at the forum; the forum participants and visitors to the event took a great interest in these, as the foundation’s programs are all focused on the goals set forth by the national projects. Metallurg Charity Foundation thus emphasized once again that a long-term cooperation between businesses and non-profits is quite possible. The work the foundation has been doing with MMK Group, its largest donor, is the proof of this,’ says MMK’s Information, PR & Advertising Department.
The foundation’s representatives contributed to several section talks and discussion panels, including the ones dedicated to the role non-profits play in the implementation of national projects; PPP as the mechanism of developing social infrastructure outside Moscow; the efficient and long-term partnership strategies for businesses and non-profits; education of special-needs children; and innovative technologies in the long-term care sector.
