UrBC, Chelyabinsk, April 18, 2019. ChelPipe Group’s Warehouse sent 300,000 kg of large-diameter pipes (LDPs) to EVRAZ Nizhny Tagil Metallurgical Plant (EVRAZ NTMK), the Group’s press service reports.

The LDPs got made at the Group’s member enterprise Chelyabinsk Pipe Rolling Plant (ChelPipe) and will be used for EVRAZ NTMK’s production upgrades and retooling program.

The entire batch is meant for NTMK’s cast iron-making Blast Furnace 6.

Under the terms of the contract, the delivery took place in several installments. Thanks to the thought-through logistics solutions and strict scheduling, the customer received all the produce in time and in full,’ says Director of ChelPipe Group’s Warehouse Alexei Smirnov.

Now Russian metallurgical companies are the warehouses’ key customers, with as many as 24,000,000 kg of piping produce supplied to these businesses last year alone.

EVRAZ NTMK is currently investing in upgrades of its Blast Furnace 6 that is expected to get launched in October 2020.
