UrBC, Magnitogorsk, April 11, 2019. Vietnam Expo 2019 International Industrial Exhibition opened in Vietnam’s capital Hanoi on April 10. Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK) is taking part in the event; as it happens, MMK’s Vietnamese market sales doubled last year.

According to MMK’s Information & PR Department, visitors to the company’s stand at the exhibition can get acquainted with one of Russia’s major metallurgical businesses’ technological potential and learn about its produce characteristics. The focus is on the products for the building industry: hot- and cold-rolled coiled stock, rolled section steel, and metal goods with coatings. MMK is also featuring metal goods for the machine-building sector, including a wide range of heavy-duty steels.

‘Vietnam is one of MMK’s key foreign markets. The country is one of Southeast Asia’s fastest-growing economies. Our Vietnamese market sales doubled in 2018 compared with 2017 and amounted to 540,000,000 kg of metal goods (the second best result in exports after our Turkish market sales),’ MMK says.

The 29th Vietnam Expo 2019 International Industrial Exhibition is held in Hanoi on April 1013 with support from Vietnam’s Industry & Trade Ministry. The exhibition features a wide range of advanced technologies, products, and services for industrial equipment, electronic, beverages, packaging, textile, and commodities sectors. Last year, more than 450 companies from sixteen Vietnamese towns/provinces and from twenty-three other countries (including Russia, Korea, China, Japan, and Singapore) took part in the exhibition.
