EVRAZ KGOK Improves Dust-Trapping Facilities’ Performance

UrBC, Yekaterinburg, February 26, 2019. Kachkanar Ore Mining and Processing Enterprise (EVRAZ KGOK) invested in making the dust-trapping facilities at the plant’s production departments more efficient. This resulted in reduced dust levels at workplaces, decreased air emissions, and therefore smaller environmental impact, the plant’s PR Department reports.
EVRAZ KGOK had eighteen dust-trapping and gas-filtering units at Crushing Department, Processing Department, and Pelletizing Department upgraded last year; two more units got renovated as well, which boosted their trapping efficiency; besides, a new dust-exhaust systems also got installed at the Crushing Department.
The plant allocated more than RUB 70 million for the renovations and intends to keep upgrading its dust-exhaust and gas-filtering facilities in 2019 as well. Around 30 units are expected to get repaired this year.
